Why we Crawl

As a body; en masse, we have an obligation to stick together,

and in unison without segregation or discrimination cruise in the direction of the promised land.

My Nation,
Blessed with abundant resources.
Endowed with beautiful people.
Swarming with unhatched talents.
Booming in population.
Bestowed with a cosy weather.
Cossy with good hearts.
Lively with cheerful people.
Vast in culture.
Famed for her exports.
Regarded by her neighbours.
Hope for the foreign’s hopeless.
Home to hundreds of resorts.
Blah blah blah…
All these are of a DEVELOPING NATION which was liberated from the shackles of slavery and exploitation decades ago, yet, stumbling here and there with light ineffective thuds like a toddler struggling to “make a stand.”

My Crawling Nation,
Prone to ethnic agitations.
Bane by the religious crisis.
Cursed by Aristocracy.
Nursed by Mobocracy.
Shaped by Autocracy.
Engorged with sycophants.
Rocked by bad governance.
Torn apart by hatred.
Wrecking in dismay.
Breeding in abject poverty.
Drowning in time.
.
.
.
.
(tick-tack)
.
.
.
.
Losing grip on hope…as we drown in time, yet, the old are in deep slumber as they ebb.
The young, homeless, irked & restless as their future bleak.
The unborn; directionless, clueless, but the only beacon of hope coming from the sphincter of the galaxies to straighten out this puked up furball of a mess.

    1. We have all it takes. We’re that much blessed. Only that our curse is to play cripple and lay waste in the midst o plenty.
The people of the Greenland are still hopeful that someday things will change for the better. This change however is ours to drive & champion.

    Our Nation, Our mess
It’s time for us to start making effective thuds while we crawl
    And eventually take a stand
With the aid of our mops
    And clean up our mess.
    There’s still chance for redemption
    Let’s salvage the salvagable
Hold a burning torch up high as we light the proper way, directing the “clueless unborn” & young ones
It’s up to us, to each & everyone of us.
It’s time to turn futile, yet reasonable & revered efforts, effective.
    It’s up to us!!!.

Nice piece Sir. “The Crawling Nation” indeed, not advancing the developmental milestones instead regressing..
    May God help us all.

    1. I believe that with a concerted effort we can steer this nation to stardom… The state of the stakeholders, we the younger ones, is what baffles me.

      Thanks again for stopping by.
