Gone with the wind

I’ll never forgive myself

For letting you go when all you needed was me

You said I was your world

Your rose,

your crimson petal

You had those lovely eyes for me

But I had mine elsewhere

Paying to watch what I cannot own

Only came around when the pocket had drained

I looked into your eyes where humility reigned

You still had that purity, beau;

An unblemished soul

But the spark that was there in my name was gone

Gone with the wind

I’ll forever mourn

    Nice piece sir, it speaks from the heart about regret, an all too common emotion among us humans.

    Opportunity presents but once.
    I wonder if that’s true in its entirety,,… Well, it sure was for the one this narrative (woefully ignored it)..
    The choices/decisions we make always have consequences (positive or negative).
